The nation of Tsan is comprised mainly of the Tsan Range, as well as a small forested area to the east and another to the south. Bordered by the Independent State to the north, east, and south, and the nation of Kinashae to the west, Tsan is the largest Dervatear nation in Western Glashia, with some of the larger cities holding populations exceeding 40,000 citizens. Home to thousands upon thousands of metal-rich caves and caverns, Tsan is the largest producer of weapons and armor in Western Glashia. In fact, mining and smithwork take up approximately 85% of the production of Tsan, followed by a small sheep-herding industry and an even smaller lumber industry.

The nation of Tsan is ruled by King Dommic Stonefast, from the capital mountain city of Rockome. King Stonefast has been in power for several hundred years, holding court over the population of Dervatear with a strong hand and mighty hammer, for the battles between the Dervatear of Tsan and the populations of goblinkind and orcs seem never-ending. Because the Shortec Range to the east of Tsan is home to a powerful nation of orcs and goblinkind, numerous battles have been fought at Freeman's Gap, the stretch of foothills that separates the two ranges. Although the leaders of the orcs and goblinkind claim victory time and time again over King Stonefast and his armies, the Dervatear of Tsan are continuing to increase their populations within the borders of their nation, although not as quickly as they once were.

Although relations between the Dervatear and Fpathen and Pseithen have always been rocky, merchants and traders from Kinashae and Tsan have established a prosperous line of commerce between the two nations, dealing mainly in weapons, armor, and magics. Large quantities of Dervatear-crafted products are traded through Cannovan and into the countries of Alaretra and Gallaway, as well as to the Fpathen that call the nation of Jahhne home. Relations between the rulers of the Kingdoms of Jordyen, Langington, including the Miaford Commonwealth, and Aarenki are relaxed, and small trading pacts have been established between Tsan and these kingdoms, although treaties dealing in military, financial, and magical assistance have not been signed. King Stonefast of Tsan is said to be a believer in racial separation--each race taking care of its own kind. And although this means that King Stonefast will send assistance to the Dervatear that live in the Miaford Commonwealth and those in the Gunorak Mountains of the Kingdom of Jordyen, he will not send the same assistance to the two nations themselves.

Because of the downfall of the Province of Arvandus and the division of lands between the Kingdoms of Langington and Jordyen, King Stonefast has established a treaty with the two kingdoms that claims all Dervatear found within the Kienken and Fillian Mountains as citizens of the nation of Tsan. The Dervatear are not to be taxed through the Kingdoms of Langington and Jordyen, although they will be allowed to trade freely with the towns and cities of the Kingdom of Langington--now in possession of the Fillian Mountains--and the newly established Arvandian Commonwealth--encompassing much of what was once Arvandus, including the Kienken Mountains. Finally, the Dervatear living within the two ranges will be allowed to continue their mining operations, unhindered by the governments of Langington and Jordyen.

The only trading that goes on between Tsan and the nation of Jahhne is through a third party, despite the small populations of Dervatear that live within the Perrin Towers, a small section of western foothills of the Innocus Mountains that the Fpathen of Jahhne have unofficially laid claim to. There are practically no relations between Tsan and Torresan, with trade and commerce between these two nations, again, being handled by a third party.
